Our regular private shuttle bus (24/04-31/10), will deliver you to the main centre in 25 mins or you can choose to take public transport from the camp entrance (35mins).

Accomodation

Plus Camping Alba D’Oro offers a unique hostel experience for your stay in Venice. We have all budgets covered with these accommodation options:

CABINS; Mixed/shared dormitory (triples) with an ensuite. These are modern, comfortable sized rooms that sleep 3 people and come with their own shower and toilet, storage space, bedding and electrical outlets.

CABINS TWIN /PRIVATE; Private twins with an ensuite or without. Modern, comfortable rooms that sleep 2 people and come with their own shower, toilet, storage space, bedding and electrical outlets. Individuals can only book a private bed as a twin.

TENT PITCHES; Tent pitches are also available by emailing the campsite directly.

MARKET

Our market is open in the morning (8am-1pm) and again after siesta (4.30pm-8pm) for all those little things you might need, postcards, souvenirs, batteries, toiletries, flip flops and sunhats. Fresh fruit, veges as well as cheeses and cold meats are available if you want to fill your own panini, or take some cold drinks back for later on. We have a wide range of international foods, if you’re feeling homesick, as well as a typical regional selection.

MONEY MATTERS

Camping Alba D'Oro has an ATM that accepts the usual cards. If however you are carrying cash or Travellers cheques we are able to change them into Euros for you. Please ask the guys at the reception for details. For your security we have incorporated an ultra modern chip card system where all payments made within the campsite are done through your card. You can put on as little or as much money as you like  at either the bar or reception and whatever you don't spend you can collect when you check out. The cards are only chargeable with cash.

INTERNET

The internet point is open early and there are 14 terminals with high speed connections to keep the rellies and mates informed of your escapades.

SWIMMING POOL & JACUZZIS

What better way to finish the day than a dip in the pool or sitting in the jacuzzi soothing those tired feet after walking over all those bridges, especially when the temps get to 35°C+. Located next to the restaurant and bar so you can take a cold one back to lie on the sunlounger and catch up on the lastest best seller. It’s open from 9:00am-20:00pm April 24th until September 30th, and 9:00am – 18:00pm in the low season. The guys also throw pool parties and bbqs during the busy months. Life guards are on duty during opening hours.

LAUNDRY FACILITIES

These are in the centre of the campsite, 8kg washing machines and dryers available. You get the tokens from reception.

Lockers

You can leave your valuables in the lockers next to reception such as passports and extra cash. A bit safer than the sock under the mattress.

LUGGAGE STORAGE

You can leave your luggage in the lockups if you’re leaving late and want to lie a bit longer by the pool.

24HR SECURITY

Don’t lose your campsite pass as you will need it to show the security guys you are actually staying here.

OTHER

SHUTTLE SERVICE (15/05-31/10)

The shuttle service is free for arrivals and departures from the campsite to Piazzale Roma. The bus departs from bus station stand D1 at 09:30, 10:30, 11:30, 12:30, (*14:30), 15:30, 16:30, 17:30, 18:30, 20:30, 21:30 and 22:30. (*runs July/August). Our private shuttle bus cost is €4.00 return and €2 one way.

RISTORANTE - PIZZERIA ALBA D'ORO

Our onsite restaurant is the place to be if your looking to tantalise your taste buds without breaking your budget. Choose from items off the a la carte menu or if you are really hungry take advantage of our famous all you can eat buffet.

The pool bar is open for snacks including yummy hamburgers, hot chips, snadwiches and healthy salads from 12.00 p.m. to 2.30 p.m. GONDOLA BAR

No hostel in Venice can claim to have a genuine gondola on the roof! Get goin’ in the Gondola with a ‘giraffe’ (3 litres of beer!!) to share with a few mates, get out on the dancefloor and the takeaway is open late for those munchies.

If you’ve still got the energy after a hard days sightseeing our theme parties, give aways and toga nights go off and are beginning to make a name for themselves out there on the backpacking circuit.

If the DJ keep does keep you up late there is breakfast available the next morning either Italian style with coffee and brioche or a set menu western style to give you that energy boost you need.

TAKE AWAY/SNACK BAR

 The take-away snack bar is open throughout the day offering a range of snacks and pizzas to keep you going.

BY CAR:

If you are driving by car or campervan remember that you can not drive in Venice itself as there are no roads, just Canals!
Directions to Camping Alba D'Oro

From motorway A4 Milan-Venice, take exit VENEZIA. After the toll follow the "raccordo" towards "JESOLO-AEROPORTO"; at the end of the road, at the first set of traffic lights, follow the signs for Jesolo/Trieste - after 500 meters you will find the camping village on the right hand side.

BY RAIL:

HOW TO GET FROM VENICE CENTRAL TRAIN STATION (SANTA LUCIA) TO PLUS CAMPING ALBA D'ORO
The main advantage of getting to Camping Alba D' Oro is that you don't have to cross through the city to get to the bus(boat)stop. Simply walk out of the main entrance, turn right and walk over the bridge leading you straight to Piazzale Roma. Then follow the following directions.

LOOK FOR OUR PRIVATE SHUTTLE BUS!

Once at Piazzale Roma make your way to the yellow section, platform D1. The private shuttle bus signed "Camping Alba D'Oro" leaves every hour on the half hour (from 09.30 am to 10.30 pm). This is free for arrivals and departures only. Price is Euro 4,00 return.

BY PUBLIC BUS:

The BUS 5 which departs from the red section on platform A8 and runs to the airport, runs from 04:40 a.m. to 10:40 p.m. at the minutes 10 - 40.

There is a connection with the BUS 15, direction CA'NOGHERA, which takes you to the campsite until 08:42 p.m. The bus 15 runs from CA'NOGHERA to the campsite from 05:52 a.m., then at 06:42 a.m. and 07:12 a.m. From 07:12 a.m. to 08:41 p.m. it always runs at the minutes 12 – 42 (e.g. 07:12, 07:42, 08:12 …).

On Sundays and holidays it runs from 07:14 a.m. to 08:14 p.m. every hour.

The bus No.4/ is a direct night bus to CA'NOGHERA and runs at 08:35 p.m., 09:35 p.m. and 10:35 p.m. passing through the airport at 09:02 p.m., 10:02 p.m. and 11:02 p.m.

FROM THE CAMPSITE TO VENICE

The bus No.15 runs to the airport from 05:20 a.m. and then at 06:00 a.m., 06:30 a.m. and 07:00 a.m. From 07:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. It always runs every 30 minutes at the minutes 00 – 30 (e.g. 07:30, 08:00, 08:30 …).

On Sundays and holidays it runs from 07:00 a.m. to 08:00 p.m. every hour.

There is a connection at Marco Polo airport with the bus No.5, which brings you into Venice. The bus to Venice Piazzale Roma runs from 05:40 a.m. to 10:40 p.m. at the minutes 10 – 40 (e.g. 05:40, 06:10, 06:40 …).

On Sundays and holidays this bus runs from 07:10 a.m. to 10:40 p.m. at the minutes 10 - 40.

The bus No.4 is a direct night bus to Venice Piazzale Roma. It runs at 10:00 p.m., 11:00 p.m. and 11:40 p.m.

FROM VENICE PIAZZALE ROMA TO THE CAMPSITE

The bus No.5- red section platform 8, runs to the airport, runs from 04:40 a.m. to 10:40 p.m. at the minutes 10 - 40.

On Sundays and holidays this bus runs from 06:40 a.m. to 10:40 p.m. at the minutes 10 - 40.

There is a connection with the bus No.15, which takes you to the campsite until 08:42 p.m.

The bus No. 15 runs from CA'NOGHERA to the campsite from 05:52 a.m., then at 06:42 a.m. and 07:12 a.m. From 07:12 a.m. to 08:41 p.m. it always runs at the minutes 12 – 42 (e.g. 07:12, 07:42, 08:12 …).

On Sundays and holidays it runs from 07:14 a.m. to 08:14 p.m. every hour.

BY AIR:

Both Marco Polo and Treviso Airports are in close proximity to Camping Alba D'Oro.

Directions from Marco Polo Airport

From Marco Polo Airport catch Bus No.15 direction Cá Noghera. The camping Village is the 4th Stop from the Airport, about 4 mins from the airport.

Tickets are available from the Tabac inside the Airport and cost €1.50.

Remember to validate your ticket by inserting into the yellow machine on the bus.

Directions from Treviso Airport

You can reserve your pick up at Treviso airport (minimum 2 people, or if you are on your own-you must cover the cost of 2 people) (maximum 8 people) for €12.00 one way per person the service has to be book by e-mail at least 72 hrs before your arrival at the campsite.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT INFORMATION

Vaporetti (Water buses)

Basically the metro system of Venice. Much like the London metro system you can buy individual trip tickets or day passes to get around Venice hopping on and off at the metro stops closest to your intended destination. You can buy tickets from Actv outlets, authorised bars and Tabacchis. Don’t forget to validate your ticket in the yellow stamping machines!

The single water bus fare is € 6.00 for one journey on the Venice network, excluding the Alilaguna, Fusina, LineaBlu, Clodia lines and Actv routes along the Grand Canal. A one-day return water bus ticket may be bought for € 6,00 and is valid until midnight on the day it is first stamped, and only along the Grand Canal.

The fare for a shuttle journey from one stop to the next one across the Grand Canal, or on the section between Lido and S. Elena, or S. Giorgio and S. Zaccaria, is € 1,80.

"Grand Canal Ticket" € 6.00 . This ticket is valid only for the Grand Canal route. It is valid for 90 minutes and more than 1 trip is allowed in this period.

Conference Card: it is valid from 1 to 8 days. The Card can be booked at the Venice office of Calle Fuseri for € 10.50 for the first day, for € 15,00 for two days, € 19.50 for three days, 3,00 for each day thereafter.
