Plus Park Albatros offers you the chance to really soak up the Italian holiday lifestyle with plenty of activities to choose from or just totally chill out and relax on the sandy beach.

Our accommodation options provide real choice for the budget conscious, from doubles to quads, semi or fully equipped, with or without ensuites.

Facilities you won’t normally find in a youth hostel include restaurant-pizzeria, bar, outdoor sports facilities, bike rental, supermarket along with a few you would such as internet, laundry, booking services and exceptional staff.

ACCOMODATION

Plus Park Albatros offers a unique hostel experience for your stay in San Vincenzo. We have all budgets covered with these accommodation options:

ARCOSA BUNGALOWS
These are comfortable and bright bungalows that sleep up to 4 people. Includes 2 double bedrooms, pillows, linen, storage space, kitchenette with gas burners and refrigerator, TV and outside table. Single sex bathroom facilities available.

MOBILE HOMES
Modern, comfortable cabins that sleep from 2-5 people and come with their own kitchen, shower, toilet, storage space, bedding, linen and electrical outlets.

Tent pitches are also available. Please email the campsite directly to book.

Towels are not included but can be hired from reception.

SPORT
For the more energetic among you there are a range of options to keep you busy. Mountain bikes and scooters are available for rent to explore the coastline further at your own speed, or find a few mates to have that all important international football, basketball, volleyball match or minigolf classic.

SUPERMARKET
You will find everything you need in our fully stocked supermarket onsite. All your film, camping supplies, local and international products, toiletries, as well as fresh fruit and vegetables if you need to stock up on something other than bread and cheese.

GELATERIA
So many flavours, so little time. Just perfect at any time of day and compulsory to have one a day while staying in Italy.

BAZAAR
Looking for something to send home? You’ll find it in the Bazaar, all the souvenirs, international newspapers, books, postcards and other holiday items you may need.

MONEY MATTERS
If you need to change traveller’s cheques or currency to Euros our reception staff are happy to help. Alternatively you can withdraw cash from the ATM cash machine onsite.

All guests are required to use a chipcard for payment during their stay on the campsite. These are rechargeable cards that are to be used wherever payment is necessary, eg. The restaurant, bar, café, supermarket, internet and bazaar. As part of our payment procedures we can only accept travellers cheques, not personal ones. You can withdraw cash from the bancomat ATM onsite and make topups on your chipcard at all cashiers except the takeaway. Any cash left on the cards will be refunded to you when you check out.

INTERNET
You have to check in with home at some point. Catch up with the family and mates in our internet point or book your onward accommodation with our free hostel booking service.

INFO POINT
For all the information you need to get the most out of your stay. Book your excursions and tours, get maps, timetables, guides and tickets for day trips.

24 HR SECURITY
Your safety and enjoyment is important to us. Don’t lose your campsite pass as you will need it to show the security guys you are actually staying here. Keep your valuables safe when you are not using them with the security boxes available from reception.

LAUNDRY FACILITIES
Large 8kg washing and drying machines ready to take the meanest load. There are even irons available to keep you looking sharp. Tokens are available from the Bazaar.

BATHROOM FACILITIES
Free hot showers 24hrs, hair dryers and single sex facilities for those in accommodation without ensuites.

Park Albatros is ideally located on the Maremma coastline 5km south of San Vincenzo between the coastal cities Livorno and Piombino. Perfect as a base to explore the beauty of the Maremma Natural park, the geo thermal areas and the picturesque islands in the Gulf of Baratti, Elba and Giglio.

By Car:
Take the A12 heading south from Pisa towards Livorno until it joins the E80, continue south past Cecina towards San Vincenzo along S.S N.1 AURELIA, exit San Vincenzo Nord, follow directions to Piombino for 10km to the gates of Plus Park Albatros.

Heading north from Grosseto take the E80 along the S.S N.1 AURELIA and exit at San Vincenzo Nord, follow directions to Piombino for 10km to the gates of Plus Park Albatros.

By Bus:
Take the local bus in direction Piombino from train station to front gates of Plus Park Albatros.

By Rail:
The Rome-Genoa train stops at Stazione San Vincenzo. Take local bus in direction Piombino and get off at the front gates of Plus Park Albatros.

Brilliant!!

Just had a 2 week break here with Keycamp with family ( 2 children 6 and 8). Site is fab-immaculate. Pool very safe for small children.Site was very busy but it is high seasion. Mainly Dutch but the children found English and Irish friends to play with. Beach near campsite okay but steep drop into water and lots of seaweed. San vincenzo beach lovely for swimming but not very pretty- parking bit tricky.Follonica beach lovely but 30 mins away. Vada was good but long drive. day trip to Pisa on train was definately worth it and had an evening at Massa Marritima a hill top cobble stoned town -absolutely beautiful. Only negative of whole 2 weeks was how expensive every thing was due to exchange rate but we had lots of BBQ's and glasses of wine sitting in the evening sun whilst children played- blissful!

PLUS Camping Albatros

Great for young families!

My husband, 2 year old daughter and me had a fantastic holiday at Park Albatros when we stayed for a week in June 2009. I would highly recommend this campsite to families with young children.

Three of the pools were made from a kind of bouncy rubber and were very shallow with bumps and tunnels to play on, so very good for young kids who want more to paddle than swim. My daughter spent ages climbing up and then sliding down the bumps! There is also another deeper pool for swimming, but it was often being used for water aerobics and the like. The pool area was clean and there was no problem getting sunbeds when we were there, even though we generally didn't get to the pool until late morning. I imagine that things would be much busier in high season though as this is a pretty big campsite. Also, there are very few sun umbrellas provided, but many people seemed to buy there own and lash it to the side of their sunbed with no problem.

The entertainment team seemed to work very hard doing activities throughout the day, then shows at night. Me and my husband aren't really into the whole organised entertainment thing, but we took our daughter along to the Baby Disco most nights which she aboslutely loved! It was pretty repetitive with the same songs and dances every evening, but I guess that's what young kids enjoy.

We ate in both restaurants and had a pizza from the takeaway - all pretty good although a bit expensive (the exchange rate hasn't helped though!). The on site supermarket was also expensive, but one of the best I've come across on a camp site. There was a really good selection of bread, lovely ham/salami/cheese sliced to order and ready made meals like lasagne and roast chickens to take away.

We stayed in a Thomson Al Fresco Vivaldi mobile home which had three bedrooms (not necessary for us, but all their 2 bedroom homes were full when we booked). The mobile was spotlessly clean and the reps had thoughtfully made up the beds for us when we arrived. The decking was a big plus as we could sit out and have a glass of wine in the evening without worrying about disturbing our daughter once she'd gone to bed. I'd recommend taking some anti-mozzie stuff along though - the park was sprayed the day that we arrived, but I still ended up with a few bites.

The Thomson reps were very pleasant and pointed us in the right direction for Baratti beach and gave us some sightseeing ideas, although I'm ashamed to say that we mostly flopped by the pool.

All in all, a very good holiday. The parc was immaculate and had a very relaxed atmosphere. Next time we'd like to stay a bit longer and do some sightseeing in Pisa, San Gimignano or take the ferry to Elba, once we'd had a chance to relax - not sure how practical this would be with a toddler mind you!

PLUS Camping Albatros

Nice and relaxing holiday for families.

I spent here 5 nights in the beginning of September, went there with a group of 6 friends and stayed in the Vacansoleil tents. The camping itself is really nice, but rather for families with small children than for the party-makers:/

Park Albatros is slean and makes a good impression but there is one disadvantage for adults - the swimming pools are 30-40cm deep, just for small children. There is one pool that is deeper though (about 1.5m), but it's small and overcrowded.

The sea is 15-min away from the camping (by foot) - the beach is ok. If you don't have a car, I wouldn't recommend this camping because the local buses run once in 2-3 hours. There is one advantage of using them though - it happened that the drivers didn't want the money for the tickets, which was a bit surprising for me.

There is a supermarket on the site too!
