No youth hostel ever so good! Right in the heart of Tuscany, in easy reach of Florence, Plus Camping Girasole combines all best the attributes of a hostel with those of a relaxed camping village.

Whatever your budget we have accommodation that ranges from triple dorms (mixed) with ensuite to private twins with ensuite.

We provide all the usual amenities you’d expect in a great youth hostel including laundry, internet cafe, information point, local excursions, restaurants, pizzeria, bar and nightclub.

You're not likely to find these extras in your average hostel in Florence - a full fitness centre and health spa, huge pools, Chianti wine tasting, authentic Tuscan cooking lessons, horse riding through Tuscan vineyards, scooter rental and friendly excellent staff. What hostel can offer all that and the Tuscan sun?

Florence is only 25mins away by train and our private shuttle service, letting you enjoy the best of both worlds - the city and its art history and the culture of the countryside.

RECEPTION

The main reception of the campsite is open every day from 07.30 until 23.00. For emergencies or issues outside of these hours please contact our security staff. Check out if you are staying on a camping pitches is by 12pm, or if you are staying in a bungalow or mobile home is by 10.00.

SWIMMING POOLS (close end september)

There are 2 pools in the lower complex with a hydroslide and plenty of sunloungers to bathe in the Tuscan sun. The crew organise pool volleyball and acquasize sessions if you’re feeling particularly energetic or alternatively you can sit and watch with a gelati. Our hours are 10:00-18:00 during the low season and 09:00-19:00 from June to end of August. We offer a towel lending service at €1.50 per towel.

INDOOR POOL

If you’re keen to keep doing the lengths the heated pool operates in the low season from 10:00am-18:00 and from 09:00-22:00 from June to the end of August. We also offer a towel lending service at €1.50 per towel. WATER PARK Laze in the lagoon, sunbathe or grab a tube-ring and head for the hydroslide. Located in the top campsite the waterpark has its own poolside bar with snacks and drinks, the crew organises cool bbqs and live music during the busy months. Open from 10:00-18:00 in the low season and 09:00-19:00 in June, July and August. We also offer a towel lending service at €1.50 per towel.

FITNESS CENTRE/GYM/SAUNA/HAIRDRESSER(close end October)

If you’ve overindulged in the gelati and bisteccas maybe this is the place to work it all off again. Fitness instructors are on hand to develop your own program in our fully equipped gym. Or you can take the soft option and just indulge in the saunas, steam rooms, massage and get a haircut while you're at it.

SUPERMARKETS

These are located in the lower campsite and upper campsites with a huge range of international goodies and fresh local produce. All the essentials are available from cold drinks, sandwiches, snacks, fruit and veg, groceries, toiletries, film supplies and developing. Everything to keep you going.

BAZAAR & GIFT SHOP

Searching for postcards, stamps, phone cards and international newspapers? Look no further. See also our huge range of gifts, clothes, sports equipment and souvenirs available. You also get your washing machine and dryer tokens here.

INFORMATION POINT

All the information on local events, places to see, opening times, prices and bookings is found here. You can book your excursions and day trips as well as find maps of the area. The Info-Point is open every day from 08.00 a.m. to 10.00 a.m. and from 04.00 p.m. until 11.00 p.m.

INTERNET

These are located in the main café where you can catch up on the goss from home as well as book your onward travel and accommodation. More terminals are available at the Info Point. LAUNDRY FACILITIES There are several locations around the campsite with large 8kg washing and drying machines to get you looking your best again. Tokens available from the bazaar.

MONEY MATTERS

Money changing Facilities are available at reception. AN ATM is on hand for those wishing to withdraw cash. The camping village operates on a chipcard system. You will be issued with a card which you then charge with cash. It operates as a debit card, so when you wish to make buy a beer, newspaper or buy dinner, just hand over the card and the monetary value of the bill will be deducted from the card. Cards can only be charged by using cash. At the end of your stay, if there is any remaining money left on the card this money will be refunded to you.

Location
Plus Camping Girasole is a perfect location for exploring Tuscany and is located in the heartland of Chianti. It is within easy reach of Florence, Siena and Arezzo by car, train, bus or scooter. The camping villlage is 30mins by car from Florence or alternatively you can catch the local train which runs on the hour and takes 20mins.
If you really want to get in there with the locals Plus Camping Girasole is a great base to explore further into the medieaval towns and villages like Greve, Radda and Castellina that produce all the fantastic tastes and flavours of Tuscany. Local produce and craft markets move around the district on a daily basis or you can buy direct from the source.

BY CAR:
On the A1 motorway between Firenze (Florence) and Roma, take exit Incisa. After the toll booth, turn left on the SS69 in direction Arezzo. After 5 kilometres, turn right twice onto the SP16 in direction Greve(Via Grevignana). After 3 kilometres, turn left to arrive at the campsite.
BY RAIL:
Catch a train from Florence S.M.N station to Arezzo/Roma Termini and get o ff at Figline Valdarno (app.25 mins.) There we have a shuttle bus to pick you up free of charge at 18.40 p.m. every day. If you arrive before 18.40 p.m., call 055.9151401 and we will organise a free pick up for you, between 8am and 10.30pm.
Trains to and from Florence leave from the train station of Figline at all hours of the day every day.
A return train ticket to Florence costs € 5.60.
BY BUS:
From the Sita bus station, which is opposite Florence SMN station, catch a blue Sita Bus- destination Figline Valdarno. When reaching Figline Valdarno, the courtesy bus is next to the bus stop. Look for the white train full of smiling happy people.

From Pisa Airport catch the Train to Florence SMN where you change train to Figline Valdarno.
From Florence Airport(Peretola)
From Florence Airport catch the Terravision shuttle bus to Florence SMN station and then take the train to Figline Valdarno.
